Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Michels received an undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from Grand Valley State University in 2010. After graduating from medical school at Michigan state University in 2015, she then completed her family medicine residency at Maclaren Greater Lansing/Michigan State University in 2018. After completing residency, Dr. Michels joined Woodlands Family & Community Medicine and is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Michels values having a close and personal relationship with her patients. She is a strong advocate for her patients' health and believes in better health through education and shared decision making. She is skilled in the care of all ages. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, women's health, musculoskeletal problems, osteopathic manipulation.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Nick and their 2 boys. In addition to spending time with friends and family, she enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing and golf.
